HalvardAn H cut from a solid block, with a keyway.

Secrets management and short-lived access for infrastructure teams.

Concept project. Halvard is a fictional company. This identity is self-initiated work by Ikonra Studio, made to show how we would approach a brief like this. It is not client work, and the brief below is imagined.

(01)

Imagined brief

Halvard stores secrets and grants short-lived access to production systems, then takes it away again. The imagined brief: a rebrand ahead of a Series C and a push into enterprise, where a padlock icon and a gradient no longer convinced a CISO.

It had to feel solid enough for a security review and sharp enough for a developer’s terminal.

(02)

Approach

The H is cut from a solid block: two slots, one of them a keyway. It looks like something you could not easily open, and it is perfectly legible at favicon size. No shields, no padlocks.

Chivo, set in tracked capitals, gives the wordmark weight without shouting. Chivo Mono runs through the product and the docs. Vault black and frost carry the brand; signal blue appears only when access is granted.

(03)

Construction

Drawn on a 10-unit grid so the symbol stays exact from a 1024 px app icon down to a 16 px favicon.

Colour and type

Four colours, each with one job. Two free typefaces, so the team can use them anywhere without a licence conversation.

Access that expires on its own.

Secrets and short-lived credentials for every service, engineer and agent.

Applications

The brand where a funded company actually lives: inside the product, on the website, in the deck and on the launch post. Names and figures in the interface are illustrative.
